If you find yourself in Herne Hill, have a splash in the Brockwell Lido or sweat it out with hot yoga at Fierce Grace (a fifteen minute walk away), before heading to this healthy hedonist’s lair, serving up pharmaceutical style concoctions that follow doctors orders…
Looking for something vodka based? Then try the ‘Pea and Ham’ with ham liquor (yes, ham), pea, olive and rosemary or a ‘Cucumber Sherbet Fountain’ with lime sherbet and cardamom droplets. We’re a fan of the gin based ‘Matcha Pistachio’ but for something a little more theatrical order the ‘Brockwell Park Bramble’ served in a medicinal style syringe laced with vitamin c.
For something against doctors orders try ‘Thirst Aid’ served in a drip bag or an Espresso Martini for a caffeine hit. Be sure to pay a visit to their Peaky Blinders inspired backroom bar, open Friday and Saturday nights but be warned – this venue is tiny and there’s a no reservations policy.
The morning after you can return to self-administer a hair of the dog in the form of a sobering Alchemy coffee and superfood salad with beetroot, kale and pinenuts… (or a pastry).
