As the weather gets colder, we’re craving comfort food to beat the winter blues. Instead of the typical heavy, stodgy meals, we’ve found healthy alternatives that won’t make you feel like you’re missing out.
Best Healthy Comfort Food Deliveries
Grateful Pies
A healthier alternative to the classic pie. Inspired by the classic French-Canadian Tourtière, a Grateful Pie is made with a light olive oil crust and a delicious filling of green lentils flavoured with Bramley apple, onion, celery, mushroom, potato and seasoned with aromatic spices. It contains only ten ingredients, a blend of aromatic spices, and is vegan.
Grateful Pies are priced at £14.95 and available with nationwide delivery and at ten independent London retailers including The Grocery (Shoreditch), Seasons & Blossoms (Islington) and Shepherd Foods (Primrose Hill).
Cinnamon Kitchen
Warming curries are perfect for the winter months, and Cinnamon Kitchen is offering a delivery menu that includes everything from Punjabi samosas through to Rogan Josh Welsh lamb curry, stir-fried Kerala shrimps with curry leaf and black pepper, and home-style cauliflower and potato curry with ginger and coriander (vegan). Our favourite is the house black lentils.
Available to order via Deliveroo, Supper, Just Eat and Uber Eats, within select London postcodes.

After graduating from Cambridge University with a triple First, Rosie decided to pursue a career in the fitness industry rather than follow the traditional path of her peers in investment banking. Unable to shake off the fast-paced routine she developed in her City job, she achieves balance by winding down in yoga sessions, escaping on fitness retreats, and going for extended brunches that somehow seem to wind up in a hidden gem of a cocktail bar.
