The first rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is… you simply have to discover this hidden gem of a boxing gym (David Beckham is a fan). Set in a disused car park in Ladbroke Grove, find no shiny studio optic lights and nightclub vibes but a gritty, raw (and very real) boxing gym reminiscent of Tyler Durden’s underground lair.
Classes include the ‘Wake Up’ session with boxing drills, cardio, functional exercises, bag work and an intense abs circuit, leaving you with an endorphin rush to kick start your week. If you want to improve boxing skills, try a non contact Box Technical session or to release that inner Rocky in you go for ‘Box Clever’ with skipping, shadow boxing, bags, pad work and functional full body circuits.
We love Pete Liggins’ Saturday Morning Blitz – a tough, explosive, high energy class that’ll make you earn a seriously good breakfast. Nearby eateries include Farmacy, Granger & Co and The Electric on Portobello Road – but be warned there are no showers on site (it is a car park after all) so head home to shower before going out or prepare to sit sweaty in your kit.
