RECIPE
3 fresh, organic blackberries
3 fresh, organic blueberries
15ml date syrup
100ml full fat dairy milk or almond milk 20ml coconut water

“A great antioxidant and mineral rich drink, perfect for busy people trying to combat the stresses of daily life. The antioxidant properties of blueberries and blackberries are protective to brain cells.

Serotonin – the mood hormone, is made from the amino acid tryptophan which is found in milk. Almonds and dates contain magnesium which reduces levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Coconut water is hydrating and high in potassium”.

RECIPE
100ml green tea
15ml date syrup
Fresh mint (5-6 leaves)
10ml fresh lemon juice
Muddle with three blackberries

“Green tea is a rich source of antioxidants and some studies show a role in growth of nerve cells and connections improving memory and creativity. Green tea also contains the amino acid L-theanine, which can reduce anxiety. It contains less caffeine than coffee, but enough to produce a stimulating effect.

Dates are rich in magnesium which reduces levels of the stress hormone cortisol. They also contain vitamin B6 which aids the nervous system and helps fight fatigue. Dark coloured berries are high in antioxidants, which guard against disease by protecting cells in the brain and body from damage”.

100 ml camomile tea 15ml fresh pineapple juice 15ml Manuka honey
10ml fresh lemon juice Muddle with cucumber

“This is a highly hydrating and alkalising drink due to the cucumber and lemon. Chamomile can help reduce anxiety. The enzyme bromelain found in pineapple can stimulate blood flow, which supplies oxygen and nutrients to the brain.

Pineapple also contains potassium and Vitamins B1 and B6 which aid the nervous system and fight fatigue. Honey gives a natural sugar boost to the brain and Manuka honey affects the good bacteria in the gut, which through the gut-brain connection, can improve long-term brain health”.
