Here’s three immersive bar experiences for your diary this September…

Dine like a deity

Discover a brand new immersive, theatrical dining experience of divine proportions, taking place at The Vaults throughout Autumn. Based on the story of Dionysus, God of Wine and Merriment, Divine Proportions is an immersive dining experience that blurs the line between feast and fetish. Produced by the female-led Shotgun Carousel, one of London’s most exciting production companies, it promises to be a free-form exploration of female beauty and sensuality, personal freedom, expression of gender fluidity and sexual desire. Think: ‘five-course banquet meets outrageous camp cabaret meets all-night after-party’.

The Aperitivo Terrace

From 3 July to the end of September, Charlotte Street Hotel will be celebrating European café society by transforming the terrace at Oscar Bar into ‘The Aperitivo Terrace’. Showcasing the art of low-alcohol aperitifs with a menu of vermouth-led cocktails using Regal Rogue, ‘The Aperitivo Terrace’ will be a day drinker’s delight by offering a chance to have a tipple and a talk with friends, without the tipsy! Masterfully created by Firmdale’s Group Mixologist, Eoin Kenny, the menu includes lower proof adaptations of the classics and vermouth led twists on the standard gin and tonic. Favourites include the citrus fresh Low-Groni and the salty and vegetal Reverse Martini. A floral and herbaceous installation on the terrace reflecting the botanicals used in Regal Rogue completes the full sensory experience.

The Ivy Soho Brasserie has partnered with luxury Swedish vodka, Absolut Elyx, to celebrate Soho’s history of fun, theatre and entertainment. Collaborating for six weeks only, guests can enjoy an eye-popping installation, cabaret-themed brunch series and two bespoke cocktails. From Friday, 10 August to Sunday, 16 September, The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s façade will be beautifully dressed in a wall of glittering sequins, mirror balls, copper roses and flowers, all inspired by Soho’s glamourous heritage as London’s party quarter and Absolut Elyx’s unique copper distillation process. Ensuring diners can socialise and unwind in style, Absolut Elyx and The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s bar team have also concocted two exclusive cocktails.
