Gail Federici is a beauty industry veteran and serial entrepreneur. After studying law and working in the haircare business, she went on to co-found John Frieda, where she created the iconic Frizz Ease Serum. A brand which she and Frieda sold in 2002 for a mind-boggling $450 million.
After signing a 5 year non-compete clause, she had a brief dalliance in the music industry, where her twins, after appearing in that John Frieda Sheer Blonde campaign, launched a career as pop stars. But haircare was always Federici’s true passion. After conquering the frizz, she then turned her attention to tackling grey roots and Color Wow was born. The multi-award winning brand is beloved by celeb hairstylists including Chris Appleton, stylist to J.LO and Kim Kardashian.
