6 Best venues for a healthy brunch in London

Restaurants are set to reopen on July 4th and we have one thing on our mind. Whether you’re craving a wholesome bowl of pretty porridge or an epic veggie fry up, here are the city’s best venues for a healthy mid-morning brunch…

Cafe Beam

Beam is a family run cafe with locations in Highbury and Crouch End serving Mediterranean and British inspired dishes. Begin your day with a rich artisan coffee and goat cheese and beetroot benedict, or stay for lunch and have a fruit smoothie and a grilled kofta wrap.

Linnaean

Linnaean

Combine brunch and a blow dry at Linnaean, which is a health cafe-come-beauty salon in Battersea. It has a plant-based menu featuring dishes sprinkled with adaptogenic herbs like Siberian ginseng and maca root. The matcha pancakes are a great choice, as is the tofu scramble on activated charcoal sourdough. The space is very pleasing on the eye, too. The floral-adorned interiors are the work of Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the visionaries behind Annabel’s private member’s club.

We Are Vegan Everything

Tucked away in a little cul-de-dac in Hackney is We Are Vegan Everything, a cafe serving up delicious vegan guilt-free eats. Step through the door and the interiors will instantly transport you to Bali with its bamboo sofas, hanging chairs and lots of greenery. The all-day brunch menu includes veg-heavy bowls of deliciousness, gluten-free porridge with all the toppings and CBD-infused lattes.

The Dayrooms Cafe

The Dayrooms Cafe is an Aussie-inspired cafe with two London outposts – Notting Hill and Holborn – boasting a menu of healthy(ish) seasonal brunch dishes. The new summer menu features colourful and nutritious options such as coconut yogurt with homemade granola, poached plums and cocoa nibs.

Malibu Kitchen at The Ned

Malibu Kitchen brings a slice of the sunny West Coast to the city with its healthy Californian-inspired food. Go on a Saturday when an all-you-can-eat brunch is served from 11.30am to 4pm. There’s a selection of salads and Californian favourites, including chia seed & courgette flatbread with seed hummus, fried halloumi with spicy yoghurt, pulled jackfruit with coleslaw and tofu mayo. Finish off with something from the vegetarian dessert selection, including raw chocolate cake and turmeric pavlova.

Skinny Kitchen

The Skinny Kitchen originally started to Ibiza but made its way to Islington last year. It takes popular brunch classics such as avocado on toast and puts a clean and creative spin on them. The menu details all the macros for each dish for anyone who is counting.
