New fitness studios coming to London this spring/summer

 Why Trust Us

Disclosure

Looking to mix up your workouts this summer? It’s a good time for us Londoners, as there are several hot new studio openings to enjoy. Whether fresh from the US or reviving an old concept, we’re booking them all…

Soul Cycle

If you’ve spent time in the US, you may have been to Soul Cycle, a spin class with an emotional hit too. Think candles, instructors who yell out empowering mantras and many, many tears. It’s got a cult following for a reason, and it’s due to open in Soho’s Great Marlborough Street this June. It will be pricey, but the studio will be oh-so-glossy and worth it.

Stylist Strong

Big news: Stylist is opening its first ever studio, called Stylist Strong. It will offer strength training workout classes for women, structured across an eight-week progressive training cycle. Fittingly, the studio is in the new women-only members club The AllBright in Mayfair, but classes will be open to members and the public.

Rathbone Boxing Club

Rathbone Boxing Club is opening in Fitzrovia in June. This is a serious boxing club headed up by world-renowned boxing trainer Adam Booth. There’s also a specific director for women’s boxing, to encourage more women to feel empowered and involved. There will be classes, workshops and bespoke training on offer, for everyone from beginners to pros, using a boxing ring, punch bags, speedballs and skipping ropes.

Discobarre

The original Lottie Berk method has come back to London, where it all began. This is barre as it was truly intended, designed to enhance your sexual pleasure, support your back and give you the strong core of your dreams. Intrigued? Try it at the new Discobarre studio in trendy Dalston, along with a host of other classes, too.

Heartcore Carnaby

Ok, so Heartcore isn’t new – but this site, on the basement floor below Sweaty Betty on Carnaby Street, is. A small studio, it allows for close attention from the instructor and no queue for the showers. The Farm Girl cafe upstairs makes for the perfect post-sweat pitstop.

AMP Athletic

This new gym in Marylebone has been set up by superstar trainer Steve Mellor, who until recently was resident trainer at Claridge’s hotel. AMP offers small group training sessions with a real PT experience, but with the added convenience of a gym membership. Think top trainers, time-tabled classes, body composition and movement screening, full nutrition planning and unlimited access to the state of the art gym. Yes please.

Raw Pilates

North London ladies, get ready. This new Pilates class in Mill Hill will help you improve your posture, lengthen muscles and tone up. Based on traditional classical Pilates, Raw Pilates offers intimate classes and top-of-the-range apparatus. Choose from a Reformer session – a full body workout – or opt for a Tower class, designed specifically to strengthen and stretch muscles, as well as build stability and improve technique.
