No, you're not dying - here's some Man Flu Soup
If you’re sick of your other half lying in bed whinging, whining, tossing and turning, complaining that he “might actually be dying”… this healing broth from Bettina’s Kitchen is guaranteed to smash his “Man Flu” to smithereens…
Ingredients
Broth
4-5 cups (500 grams) of water
1 chilli
2 pieces ginger
2 pieces of turmeric
Spring onions
2 Garlic cloves
1 onion
1 sweet potato
1 carrot
1 piece of cinnamon
In the Soup
Brown rice noodles or rice noodles
Pinch of sesame seeds
Fresh coriander
Fresh spring onions
METHOD
Start by boiling 3-4 cups of water and add the entire base ingredients, chopped as you please. I like my gingers finely chopped and my veggies in big bites. Let the water come to a boil and simmer.
Add your noodles whichever ones you have chosen and boil until semi soft.
Take the pan off the heat and add your fresh herbs and spring onions. Top the soup off with sesame seeds and add a splash of tamari for saltiness.
This soup can be left simmering in a big batch and eaten throughout the day – that’s what I like to do anyways!
