Nope Ottolenghi

It’s hard to remember the days before Yotam Ottolenghi, the Jerusalem-born, food porn star whose creative, vegetarian recipes are the mainstay of middle class kitchens.

Whether you’re following his recipes at home or grabbing one of his signature, colourful salads to go, there’s numerous cookbooks and delis to choose from spanning Notting Hill, Spitalfields, Islington and Belgravia.

For something more formal, pay a visit to his all day restaurant NOPI in Soho for breakfast, lunch or a pre-theatre snack.

Breakfast options include; poached or scrambled eggs on sourdough and corn and polenta cakes with avocado salsa. For lunch try a chickpea pancake with spiced peas, courgette and manouri fritters and coriander seed-crusted burrata with slices of blood orange. Nibble on some polenta chips tossed in parmesan and garlic aioli while you wait.

Wash down with a non-alcoholic cocktail like Ginger, Orange & Lime Zinger or a Lychee & Grapefruit Cooler. For something punchier try the Spiced Beat with Ketel One vodka and beetroot or a Pineapple Sage Martini.

If you fancy a workout before, you’re a ten minute walk from hybrid fitness studio Another Space.
