Perpetua HIT And Yoga

Sweat it out and then stretch it out at Perpetua HIT and Yoga…

This class does what it says on the tin. Mix it up with a perfect dirty thirty combination of 30 minutes high intensity training using body weight and strength equipment, followed by 30 minutes of yoga.

Located under a railway arch, next to the infamous Perpetua Crossfit (voted one of the best gyms in the world by Men’s Health) find a studio with assault bikes and self propelling treadmills in one corner, yoga mats and blankets in the other.

Sweat for that savasana with 30 second intervals of sprinting on the bike or treadmill, kettle bell swings and rounds of burpees set to a playlist banging beats. Just when you think you’re about to collapse, the lights go down and music softens. A little calm to the chaos…

Next, a 30 minute basic yoga sequence – a perfect opportunity to stretch out and lengthen tired, overworked muscles. Something a lot of us HIIT lovers don’t do enough of – so savour it! And don’t be surprised if you find the yoga the most challenging part…

As the hour draws to a close, smother yourself in a cosy fleece blanket and take a much needed savasana. Post workout, prolong your dreamy zen state with a walk through Battersea Park to a restaurant on a lake serving up an all day menu. Try the Smashed Avocado on Sourdough or Green Spinach Pancakes with Grilled Halloumi and Poached Eggs.
