Midnight swimming at Hampton’s Pool
The options are numerous here. Hardy types can venture to Hampstead Ponds but Hampton’s 36m outdoor pool is toasty warm at 28 degrees. Head there for some exercise (you can swim laps or do your own water aerobics) at any time but this summer, you can do a moonlight dip from 10pm ’til midnight on specific days (June 21, July 26, and August 16 and September 13).

Summer Solstice yoga
Psycle is partnering with lululemon to do a summer solstice yoga event on Friday 21 June. Celebrate the start of the new season with 108 sun salutations – the challenging flow set to beats from DJ Coco Tiekle will create a powerful session. It’s at Psycle’s Mortimer Street studio, and it starts at 6.30am sharp.
Riverside running and walking
To celebrate the official opening of The Tide, the elevated riverside park on Greenwich Peninsula, Turning Tides Festival is a free festival of wellness, art, music and shoreline feasts inspired by the river. It’s happening on the weekends of 5-7 and 12-14 July. Enjoy yoga, group tai chi and dance sessions throughout the day, while first and last thing, it’s the perfect destination to run or walk alongside – audio meditation points by BeBox along the route will offer guided meditations that respond to the immediate natural surroundings.
Midnight Runners

London is just one city where you can join the Midnight Runners – pound the pavements at night, lit only by street lamps and stars. See the sights, make new friends, and get in a run, no matter how late it is. They run regular run events – look online or on their Instagram.

Charlotte is a London girl through and through. She sweats through spin and puffs through Pilates to justify trying the latest restaurants and devouring copious amounts of sweet potato fries, burrata and bread – preferably on holiday. Her favourite destinations include Italy, the Maldives and anywhere where the sun’s shining and there’s a strong breakfast buffet. She’s obsessed with walking, visiting farmers’ markets and reading. She’s also learning to cook. Wish her (and her husband) luck.
