SU-MAN AT W HOTEL in Soho, London

The Best Facials in London

At the Away Spa in Soho’s W Hotel, Su-Man works her magic. Her facial massage treatment is famed worldwide (she has super speedy fingers) and the lifted, sculpted results really are worth describing as a natural alternative to a facelift. While her methods were unique in my experience, my face has never looked more awake than after her treatment. Su-man has a nifty scalp scraping tool and spent some time on ear rubbing, while her philosophy of self-love being the best possible treatment for the skin felt ultra refreshing. This is the perfect facial if you want your skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

SUNDAY RILEY AT HERSHESONS in Fitzrovia, London

The Best Facials in London

You can read our full review here but this is a busy, full-on skin treatment. You won’t get bored as this facial does it all: deep cleanse, optional extractions, application of cult faves Good Genes and Tidal Wave and LED lights, during which you’ll also get a lovely foot massage so you can waft through Fitzrovia feeling utterly relaxed. I walked out of here with glowing skin and determined to invest in all the brand’s products. It’s a global first for these facials, so book in to be ahead of the curve.

NATURA BISSÉ in Westfield, London

A hidden haven of soothing zen, this Spanish brand knows its facials. Start with the 15-minute high tech Mindful Touch experience that uses a headset for a relaxing mediative experience to calm you before being pampered. This is followed up with a two-stage active peel, serum, mask and jade roller – all part of the Diamond Cocoon facial. Skin is super soft to the touch at the end.

ABIGAIL JAMES, Mayfair London

Abigail takes a holistic approach with each client to create a bespoke facial suited specifically to their needs. It took her an impressively small number of seconds to look at me and accurately assess my skin concerns and I instantly understood her reputation as one of London’s leading facialists. To work on my melasma, she used the red LED light from her Dermalux machine, followed by a pomegranate peel with lactic acid, which exfoliates, adds moisture and brightens. This facial needed no prep or downtime. Just as good as the facial was all the at-home skincare information she offered up, showing this is a woman who is serious about procuring results for her clients.

SKINWORK, Soho London

Tucked away in Soho is Skinwork. While you could opt for the Signature Facial, Express version does plenty if you’re time-poor. Expect a thorough deep cleanse, extractions for fresh pores and vitamin c and hyaluronic acid application. The slightly more unusual elements that stood out were a lymphatic drainage experience using a hand-held device that gave me cheek bones for days and a galvanising mask – it has a current that stimulates collagen production and helps products penetrate. The PCA brand used throughout is highly recommended too.

Hopefully this round up of the best facials in London has inspired you to set aside an hour or two for an indulgent treatment. If you love all things beauty and self-care – make sure you follow us on instagram for the recommendations from the team.
