Kanada-Ya

Next is Kanada-Ya. With locations in Covent Garden, Picadilly and Angel, Kanada-Ya won’t leave you disappointed. Founded in the small city of Yukuhashi on the southern island of Kyushu in 2009. Nanban

Finally, we have Nanban. It’s is the place to go for Japanese soul food. They take inspiration and culinary cues from Brixton Market, with its incredible selection of global ingredients and fresh produce. Nanban started off as a pop-up restaurant in 2012, serving Japanese food of foreign origin. However, when they moved into their first permanent premises in Brixton in 2015. Here they began incorporating ingredients from Brixton Market into their cooking. Creating a Kyushu-Brixton fusion menu that featured flavours from the Caribbean, West Africa, Latin America, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and more. They probably use more Scotch bonnet chillies than any other Japanese restaurant in the world.
