Festive fitness classes for December
Retroglow
Retroglow has announced its December programme and it’s ridiculously fun. The timetable includes 80s FITmas, Hip Hop Holiday HIIT, Christmas Dance Aerobics and more. Instructors will be playing back-to-back festive bangers and the virtual studio will be turned into a retro Santa’s grotto with tinsel, trees and mistletoe. Be warned, class themes may be tongue in cheek but they still promise a serious burn. Classes are available live and on-demand. £5 per class (first class is free), everybodyglows.com.
Digme
Grab your Santa hat and saddle up for a Christmas-themed spin class at selected Digme studios (Richmond, Ealing and Covent Garden) and online on Friday, 18th December. Expect plenty of Chrimbo tunes and there will be a prize for the person who arrives in the most gloriously tacky festive jumper. £22 studio/£6 online, digmefitness.com.
1Rebel
It’s the most wonderful time of the year… for a sweaty workout at 1Rebel. The studio is spreading lots of festive cheer this month with themed Ride classes at its Victoria branch. A live MC will be dropping Christmas Garage beats on Friday, 18th December, while the official 1Rebel Xmas party takes place on Saturday, 19th December. A live Fire Pyro performer will provide an extra adrenaline boost. Finally, say goodbye to this hellish year on Thursday, 31st December with a live DJ cycle at Victoria or Re-Shape class at its Angel studio titled ‘F*CK 2020’. £23 per class, 1rebel.com.
Frame
Frame, which has reopened its Victoria, Angel, King’s Cross, Shoreditch and Fitzrovia studios, is putting on Festive Dance Cardio classes. One LDN
If all you want for Christmas is to put on your dancing shoes, then you’re in luck. One LDN is running a Mariah Carey-themed dance class at its studio in Fulham on Saturday, 19th December. £15 per person, book here.
