To celebrate black cultures and get people moving, dance and fitness guru Ianthe Mellors has started Move For The Culture. A campaign asking fitness studios to host classes for donations, giving priority to POC teachers if they want to teach.
Taking place on Saturday 20th June 2020, the aim is to change the lack of diversity and accessibility within the fitness industry and fundraise for organisations supporting the black community and racism. Read below the Move For The Culture classes that you can take part in.
9am – Killer Combat, GymBox
9am – Pregnancy Yoga, Frame Online
10am – Dynamic Mat Pilates, The Pilates PT
10am – HIIT & Flex with Akfitclub x Welldefined
10.15am – 70’s Barre, Frame Online
11am – Hip Hop Dance Family Class, Basebox
12pm – Hip Hop & Grime workout, 1Rebel
2pm – 60+ Move & Mobility class on Zoom with Ianthe Mellors
3pm – HIIT and Move (Fitness & Dance) with Ianthe Mellors teaching via Sweaty Betty Instagram live
5pm – Dance Cardio, 305 fitness
FLY LDN will be teaching a 1-hour Barre and Low Impact workshop
Hot Pod Yoga will be teaching a special class
