Rough Runner is an obstacle course challenge, combining distance running with a variety of obstacles along the way, each inspired by game shows such as Total Wipeout, Takeshi’s Castle, Gladiators, and Fun House. Expect sweeper arms, gym rings, big balls and yes, The Travelator. Created by runners. Inspired by game shows. Made for everyone. Expect beautiful venues, epic obstacles and a perfect blend of challenge and entertainment. There are 5km, 10km & 15km options to choose from. Events run across the country from Brighton, Oxfordshire, Manchester, Newcastle, Scotland and London. Kids can get involved too with Roughian Rascals.
RED BULL QUICKSAND
Red Bull Quicksand is a brutal one-mile race along the beach on one of England’s best-known seaside towns. Test your mettle against 750 other competitors in this gruelling race that includes a number of sandy climbs. Battle it out over the obstacle course, progressing through heats and semi-finals to reach the grand final. Did you know that runners expend 1.6 times more energy on sand than running on a road surface? Not for the faint hearted…

Whether you see 5km as a huge challenge, or a little warm up, with Gung-Ho! you’re free to run as fast, or walk as much as you want! Gung-Ho! isn’t a race – whether you complete the course in 5 minutes or 60 minutes, the challenge is in getting to the end. Take on the Gung-Ho! course with your friends, family or work colleagues (there isn’t a team building experience quite like it).
From 5K to 10 miles, Tough Mudder is your best chance to test your teamwork, conquer best-in-class obstacles, and let your inner party animal go wild. Tough Mudder Classic is one 8-10 mile loop of mud-soaked mayhem loaded with 25 obstacles, including 10 new or updated 2019 obstacles. This is is your chance to get outside your comfort zone, discover what you’re made of, and cross that finish line stronger than you started. Strap in and get ready for an all-out festival in Mudder Village with live entertainment, authentic local eats, lawn games (giant beer pong, anyone?) and all the incredible Mudder camaraderie you can handle.
Quest Wales is a one-day multi-adventure sports race which starts and finishes in the idyllic village of Betws-y-Coed in Northern Wales. Run, cycle and kayak across the spectacular mountains and valleys to challenge yourself in 2019. Choose from 3 routes, there’s one to suit all levels of fitness, the 53km Expert, 42km Sport & 25km Challenge. Kayaks are provided as part of the entry fee. Participants will receive exclusive custom-made medals as well as a Quest branded piece of clothing. The finish line boasts hot food for all competitors as well as a recovery zone. Come for the adventure race and stay for the after-party in beautiful Betws-y-Coed, surrounded by rugged mountains, lakes, woodlands and spectacular waterfalls.
